President and later started Minority Students in
Neuroscience at UK. My club was a platform to
help these students understand how capable
they were and to push them towards the eld of
neuroscience!
One thing I learned at Urban Impact was that
leaders give back. I discovered in school that if
you expose young people to STEM careers and
majors it incites curiosity in their mind. I decided
to bring a mind (literally) to Urban Impact to
explain to them exactly how that all works. I had
their full attention!
In 2021, I graduated from the University of
Kentucky and I am now nishing up Medical
School applications while working as an
Ophthalmology technician at Commonwealth
Eye Surgery Center. My dream is to become an
Ophthalmologist and conduct eye surgery to

help people see. I know God wants me to be a
light for those who don’t have light, especially
for those who don’t believe God cares. I have
Urban Impact to thank for equipping me with
the faith, perspective and leadership skills to do
just that!
