AMACHI
People of faith mentoring children of promise
Amachi’s mission is to assist children impacted by incarceration in achieving
their highest potential by engaging them in consistent and committed mentoring
relationships. Mentors commit to spending at least one hour per week with their
mentee, participating in a variety of positive goal-oriented activities.
Together with families, caregivers, schools and others, our mentors seek to
remind their mentees that they are beloved children of God and they are capable
of anything.

Leadership Pro le: Mentor Dominique Wright
“I wanted to get involved in my community and do so
through a faith-led organization. If I’m going to do the work
of the Kingdom, why wouldn’t I want to lock arms with an
organization rooted in the Word? That’s why I love Amachi.
That team supports me as a mentor while I spend time with
Ari. They provide us with encouragement, ideas, and
incredible events. My mentee, Ari, has BIG life goals!
Watching her grow in con dence and become a leader has
been one of my greatest life joys. Her heart posture is pure
and she embraces the same grace and mercy Jesus
extends to all of us. Ari’s about to shake up the world
around us!” -Dominique
